Description

1989 Schrade USA 85th Anniversary Whittler, Complete, #889 of 1000 Knife is 3-7/8" closed. Main blade is 2-7/8" in etched with "1904 Schrade Cutlery 1989, 85th Anniversary" and embellished with gold plating in the decorative elements. Tang stamped with "85TH ANN, SCHRADE+, U.S.A." The other blades are 2" long. Scales are burnt stag horn. Bolsters and badge are sterling silver. Bolster is eteched with the serial # "889". Badge reads "Schrade 1904-1989". Comes in a lined walnut display box with a brass plaque and clasp. Case is 6" x 4-1/2" X 1-3/4". Also has all original documentation and cardboard box. Schrade went out of business in 2004. While you can still buy "new" Schrade knives anything after 2004 is a Chinese reproduction. This was part of a family collection and has been in storage for more than 20 years. Knife was never used or carried.
