Description

PAL CUTLERY Stockman Pocketknife, Very Vintage: A very nice knife, this one could be as old as 80 years. To be conservative, I've chosen production date as late 1940s to early 1950s. Pal Cutlery was formed at the outbreak of WWII, taking over the knife-making equipment from Remington because they needed more space and equipment to manufacture Army rifles and ammunition. The Pal business remains active today, but without knives and under other corporate administration. It's pretty far away from the merged partners and hurry-up making of the famous military utility knives. This knife is well used as noted by the worn but flawless handles and the worn main-blade. It has obviously been sharpened, but carefully, leaving no stone or file gouges on the flats. The carbon steel shows some shallow pits on the otherwise clean blades; The pen-blade and spey-blade seem full as new. Pal's origin and the knife's high condition make this a desirable knife to collectors or would make a nice gift to Grampa. Mailing only to USA-48. Postage is usually between $5.00 and $6.26. Buyer pays $4.00, I will pay the rest. Please buy another knife and save postage. I am liquidating my entire collection; please keep me in your favorite sellers, watching for Old Bryan's Old Knives or the seller name below.
