Description

You are looking at a Vintage 1981 CASE XX USA Brown Jigged Bone Handle Medium Stockman Knife, model 6318 HP. PLEASE READ: Over the next few days, I will be listing close to 50 Case XX knives of all kinds. Please see my other auctions, as will be happy to combine shipping on multiple auctions won by the same person ! This knife is preowned. It is in what I would consider to be good condition overall, but there is some minor cosmetic wear present. I am not the original owner of these knives, I am only selling them. I am very picky, and have examined them for both cosmetic wear and functional issues. I will list all I know about the knife below, but please understand that I am NOT a knife expert. I am happy to answer questions through private message about any of my listings. Details of this knife: Length when open with longest blade : approximately 6-1/4" Length when closed : approximately 3-1/2" Number of blades : three blades total Year made : based on my research, from the font and the dots on the blade, I believe this to be dated to the year 1981. Please confirm that year for yourself. Markings : The clip blade of this knife is stamped "Case XX", then under that there are 9 dots, and under that, "USA". The other side of this blade is marked with the model number, "6318HP". The sheepsfoot blade does not have any markings; the spey blade is marked "For flesh only" down the length of it. Blade edge : the edges of all three blades still look good overall. The points on all three of the blades are still sharp. I am not sure if this knife has been used or not. I have shown all of the blades up close in my photos for you to be able to view so you can determine wear and edge condition for yourself. Cosmetic wear : there is some cosmetic wear to all of the blades and to the metal parts of the handle. There are surface imperfections including light scuffing, spotting, and scratching. The handle does not have any cracks on either side. The nameplate on the handle is intact and in very good condition--see photos. The knife (all three blades) does open and close as it should. The spey blade is a bit tighter to open than the other two. There is no wobble to any of the blades. There is still good snap back on two of the blades, but the sheepsfoot blade needs assistance all the way in to close completely. There are no initials, engravings, or inscriptions on the blade or handle. Again--I am not a knife expert. I have done my best to research this knife, list it accurately, and photograph it from all angles to show the true condition and describe any major flaws. Please view ALL photos and feel free to ask any questions before bidding. I ship as quickly as possible throughout the week, Monday through Friday! PLEASE READ THESE 15 THINGS BEFORE BIDDING: Please make sure to read the listing and description completely and carefully and look at all photos before bidding. Your bid is an agreement to purchase the item. This store sells many pre-owned items. We do our best to accurately describe any damage in our listing (condition description/details). Minor cosmetic blemishes and signs of use might be missed once in awhile, so PLEASE ASK if you're concerned about such things and can't tell by looking at the pictures what to expect. If the item is perfect or almost perfect (near new), the listing will let you know, otherwise please assume it has some signs of use if it is listed as used. This store uses UPS and USPS shipping. If either is a problem, ask about it before purchasing. The winning bidder pays shipping and potentially sales tax , depending on your state regulations. Ebay collects this tax, not us. PLEASE CHECK TO SEE IF YOUR STATE COLLECTS SALES TAX BEFORE BIDDING, if that is an issue for you! All items must be paid for within seven days after the close of the auction. We do not end our auctions early for BUY IT NOW prices so please do not email and ask for an early ending price. In fairness to all bidders, we let all auctions end at their scheduled times. Items will ship within 4 business days of payment unless combined shipping or some other special circumstance has been arranged. We only ship products to the contiguous United States--the lower 48 States ONLY. WE DO NOT SHIP TO CANADA or PUERTO RICO. No exceptions. If you'd like to arrange a local pickup, you are welcome to! Please contact us before purchase to arrange that. Payment and pickup are due within one week of auction's end. Combined shipping discounts are honored on multiple listings purchased at the same time. We will charge right around our actual shipping cost. Please contact us before sending any payment and we will send a correct discounted invoice for you! Any questions at all should be asked before purchase. We do offer a 14 Day Return Policy if the item contains a defect or any damage that we did not list in the description. This does not apply to cosmetic damage shown in the pictures. We always strive for 100% customer satisfaction. Please email us directly if you have an issue and we will be more than happy to help! Please, serious bidders only. Thank you for looking and bidding!
